Fibrin23

FIBRIN 23 is a high performance monofilament Polypropylene fiber specifically develop as a crack control additive for cementitious material. It reduces the occurence of plastic shrinkage and settlement cracks, while enhancing the surface properties and durability of hardened concrete. The fiber are extremely fine, single filament and coated with special compound to aid dispersion that enable excellent dispersion of individual filament, allowing the formation of a homogeneous three-dimensional matrix with the concrete mix.

Addition of FIBRIN 23 to the concrete will result to increase in cohesivenesss which controls bleed water migration in the concrete, giving more efficient hydration and hence increase compressive strength. The improve bleed water control provides significant state of concrete.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Materials: Polypropylene extract synthetic fiber

Design: Micro-monofilament

Length: 12 mm

Shape: 18 microns(almost 1/2 of hair diameter)

Surface: Crimped

Density: 0.91 gm nominal

Color: Natural

Absorption: Nil

Chemical Resistance: Satisfactory

Conductivity: Minimal

Melting point: 160°C

UV Resistant: High

Matrix Bonding: Excellent

Fibrin 23 can be used as a replacement to crack control steel mesh and temperature bars on ground floor slabs. This alone can offer savings of at least 50% of the shrinkage control elements (temperature bars and placement cost). Additionally, savings of 30% plastering of walls and at least 25% on water proofing of roof decks. Significant savings is achieved on roads, pavement and bridges due to longer operating life of the concrete structure.

Where should it be used?

FIBRIN 23 should be considered for use in all ground and suspended floor slabs, plastering of internal or external walls where unsightly shrinkage cracking needs to be avoided. It is commonly specified in concrete for residential and commercial buildings, industrial warehouses, agricultural buildings, water structures, driveways, sea ports roads and bridges.
